Brandon Eley, Interactive Director for Kelsey Advertising & Design of LaGrange, has been tapped by one of the world’s most popular professional online communities to co-author a new book. The working title is “The Art and Science of Online Marketing,” and it’s scheduled to hit book shelves and Amazon.com in May, offering an extensive introduction to the world of online marketing.
Eley, who was named “E-Commerce Guru of the Year” for 2008 by SitePoint.com, a website for professional web designers and developers with more than 300,000 members, is working with SitePoint’s Director of Marketing, Shayne Tilley, to write what the authors say will be the first complete overview of the full landscape of online marketing.
“Marketing has changed dramatically since the advent of the internet, and there are many books on the market that address specific aspects of it, but no one has written the definitive introduction to the broad-based scope of marketing online. We are filling that niche with this book,” said Eley.
According to Eley, the book is being written for small business owners, online retailers, and traditional marketing experts who want to understand all aspects of a successful digital advertising and marketing program. SitePoint.com approached Eley to assist in writing the book based on his more than eight years as a contributor to the website’s community and newsletters, as well as his experience creating integrated online marketing campaigns for major clients such as McDonalds.

It is considered to be the premier online source for large-sized shoes and has been in business for almost ten years.
In his role as Interactive Director for Kelsey Advertising & Design, Eley is responsible for architecting traditional websites, mobile websites, and web applications and creating integrated marketing programs for local, regional and national clients. He recently led the development of the mobile website for McDonalds. He is certified as a Qualified Google Advertising Professional.
The Art and Science of Online Marketing is being published by SitePoint and O’Reilly Media. The book will be available in major book store chains and through Amazon.com, O’Reilly.com, and SitePoint.com.
